LaScala's Fire Marlton

I was prepared for the noisy atmosphere and free flowing kitchen from reading reviews prior. We went last night for birthday celebration with a party of eight. I would only recommend this establishment for bar and apps. Pretty urban, industrial feel. Service was good for how busy they were. Personally we cannot stand the free flowing kitchen concept. I was raised to wait until everyone in your party is served until I eat. One of our orders never came out until asked about pizza 20 minutes after everyone was served, and then brought out cold. At least this was taken off the bill. Burrata board was good, not great. Long hots were ok, small and not hot. Cheesesteak egg rolls were ok. Salad was tasteless, had to wait a long time before salt and pepper was brought to table to try to give it some flavor. I couldn't eat the salad and that was my entree. Espresso martini was good, but had some chunks of ice in it. Overall we had a very pleasant dining experience, but that was only because of the good company and I was prepared to be disappointed. Not worth the hype.

Noah was a very good server when I went last night. Thought the pizza and salads were very good, we were able to watch the baseball game as well. UPDATE 9/30: We had Elizabeth as our waitress. She was kind and accommodating. Pizzas and pasta were very good. UPDATE 11/3: For the first time ever here, we had to wait for a table. 30 Minute wait. We had Catalina as our server. She tried her best to get our orders correct, however the salad was wrong. The pizza was alright.

Went to LaScala’s to catch the Phillies game and to have some good food while watching… they have a great set up where you can see the TVs from just about anywhere you sit. The servers are pleasant. The food is amazing. We decided to get an assortment of starters to eat while we watched the game, and everything we got was flavorful and 10/10. We got the Caprese, Tuscan Wings, Shrimp Pompeii, Cheesesteak egg rolls (forgot to get a picture), Espresso Martinis, and the Ricotta Board… I would recommend any of these because everything was to perfection. Great food, great atmosphere, great service!

Went to LaScala’s Fire for the first time with my family who are regulars here. The atmosphere, service, and food were nothing short of fantastic! I had the Chicken San Remo for dinner with rigatoni and was absolutely blown away by how good everything was. I will absolutely come back here and I’m excited to try more of what’s on the menu!

Not going to lie, I’m pretty irritated after what was supposed to be a celebration of my 26th anniversary. I’ve heard good things about this place, and maybe our experience was a fluke, but I thought I should share it anyway. This is the very definition of style over substance. It’s a pretty space and the food looks like a stylist put it together. But the tomatoes on the burrata board were not ripe, there was very little olive oil and pesto, and the bread was dry. The calamari was not very crispy (according to my husband). My Tuscan chicken looked beautiful, but somehow the chicken itself was super bland and overcooked. One good thing, my husband said the tuna was great. The service was incredibly lacking. As we dug into our appetizers, within about four minutes a very brusque bus person came and firmly put down both of our entrées, as you can see in the pictures. Then after eating, we waited and waited for our waitress to come back so we could ask for boxes and get out. We couldn’t even see her to signal her. After 20 minutes, I gave up, and came out to the car where I sit writing this review while my husband waits to get the check. Also, one last thing, it is ridiculously loud in the restaurant, almost at sports bar level, so keep that in mind. So disappointing.
